Cobweb

Do not dwell on’t dear.
Blow it away like a stray cobweb
Accidentally blundered into.
Don’t let the gossamer threads
Wrap their wispy bonds
Around your beautiful face,
But pluck them off
With a careless finger
And laugh gaily.
The spider in the crevice thinks naught of it,
But will set to work at once
To weave his dangerous chains again.
You are no struggling fly
Frantic with terror.
Cast off the rope that binds you
And think no more of it.
